Playing Bach’s music on keyboard or solo instrument is also an amazing form of balancing therapy for the mind. For many, JS Bach’s endless lines, elaborate counterpoint and flowing harmonies somehow express the ideal state of all music – something beyond the shortness and contingency of human life. Bach, one of the greatest classical composers, wrote ceaselessly: it’s interesting that the hardest-working composer of all time should also be the one closest to musical perfection. Music poured out of Bach, all for the greater glory of God and, in Bach’s words, “the refreshment of the soul.” Organ music, church cantatas and incidental music for his employers were his daily bread. Through a well-tested partnership years in the making, Cornerstone staff have gained long-term compliance confidence through ActiveComply’s compliance solutions.ĪctiveComply began as a match lit by the mutual question of founders Rob Nunziata and Mike Prince - why is compliance so complicated? Having reached the metaphorical end of their rope, they concluded that compliance was meant to be complex and stress-inducing - until they found ActiveComply. This, however, was easier said than done, and they continuously found themselves contractually boxed into compliance platforms with limited reporting, non-existent customization, and lackluster discovery features. There is a lot of standard Christian bs woven into the fabric of everything - including the company mission statement. The phrase “herding cats” is often the most accurate way to describe the process of manually monitoring dozens of loan officers’ digital assets, and to discover an account that isn’t rife with seemingly small but often expensive regulatory violations is a welcome surprise.Ĭompliance Analysts Taylor Clifford and Michelle Fields-Moore of Cornerstone Lending were determined to find a solution that would make their compliance management even marginally more manageable. The COVID policy left a lot to be desired and the party line on vaccines was “yeah, we aren’t asking you to do that”. The company is very “Texas Republican” in its mentality. Also - they announced a $15/loan bonus for every loan for like 2 paychecks which is an absolute slap in the face. More than I made at my last job but less than it should be to make driving 45 min to an hour each way to my office every day but one a week (oop, there’s that wfh policy again). The bonus structure for processing is such that you have to meet a threshold for number of closings in order to get any bonus at all, and most of us haven’t met that threshold since early 2022 if not 2021. When the bonuses are good, the pay is good - but the bonuses haven’t been good for quite a while now. The pay is not the best, and we won’t get COL raises this year OR last year, let alone merit raises. Which is ridiculous since my underwriting team is all remote and mostly always has been. The only reason not to make this a policy is that they paid a ton for the office space and are stuck in leases, and the company management is very old school with the mentality that you need to be in the same building at the same time to collaborate. There is literally zero about my job that it’s necessary to be in the office for. We should be able to work from home, all the time, forever if we want. I can’t afford to put my husband on my plan. The benefits… aren’t the greatest, and they are EXPENSIVE if you need to cover anyone other than yourself. I wouldn’t delude anyone into thinking this place is all sunshine and rainbows. Like I said, every job has its moments/downsides. he does all the time if he not calling out AD and TG other Mgr he very close to a female Employee not very professional she comes in from out of town he married My mom speaks Spanish and it’s Rude to speak other ppl Another Languages. my go to supervisor speaks Spanish and nobody in our Dept but another trainer n associate it’s rude. ppl walk because top Mgr was so disrespectful to they take check accounts over the phone not a great company Marc N Laride shot reviews Denver office.
